**Consultation and Vaccination Fees

We kindly advise that a consultation fee of £35 is applicable for our travel health services. However, this fee will be deducted from the cost of any vaccinations you receive from our pharmacy during the same visit.

For example, if the recommended vaccine costs £60, you would only need to pay the remaining £25 after the consultation fee is applied.

This approach allows us to provide you with personalised travel health advice while ensuring you receive a discount on any necessary vaccinations administered at our facility.

Travel Vaccination

  • If traveling outside the UK, you may need vaccinations to protect against serious diseases found in other parts of the world, such as yellow fever, typhoid, and hepatitis A. The routine NHS vaccinations do not cover all travel-related diseases.

  • Start thinking about needed travel vaccines 6-8 weeks before your trip, as some vaccines require multiple doses over weeks/months to build immunity.

  • Your risk may be higher if traveling to rural areas, backpacking, staying in hostels/camping, or going on a long trip rather than a package holiday. Pre-existing health conditions can also increase risk.

  • Check which vaccines are required or recommended for your destinations on the Travel Health Pro and NHS Fit for Travel websites. Some countries require proof of vaccination.

  • Check with your GP if your routine UK vaccinations are up-to-date.

  • You'll have to pay for other travel vaccines like Hepatitis A & B, Japanese encephalitis, rabies, etc. Costs vary by vaccine and number of doses needed.

  • Consider factors like age, health conditions, occupations like aid work or healthcare, and animal exposure that may require additional vaccines.

  • Discuss travel vaccines with your GP if pregnant, breastfeeding, or immunocompromised, as some vaccines may not be recommended.

  • The key is planning ahead, understanding your travel risks, and getting the appropriate vaccinations from the NHS or paid providers to ensure a safe and healthy trip.

  • Speak with our friendly pharmacist team by ringing us at 01394460548 or simply book an appointment here. We will be able to help you to plan your next trip and advise accordingly to your requirements.
